Karen Larkin Johnson is a long time resident of Harbor Country. Moving to Grand Beach over thirty years ago with her large family, she made Harbor Country her permanent home. From 1980-1990 she coordinated all the sales at South Cove the Moorings. Upon completion she moved to Forest Beach and spent the next ten years coordinating all the sales at this lakefront community. When this project was completed she opened KLJ Real Estate at 44 South Whittaker Street.

The rest is history, from the minute she opened her doors this small but thoughtful office gained enormous popularity. Her claim to fame was her ability to find the right house for the right family at the right price. Her reputation grew as people realized her ability to stay connected with her past and present families. Never losing touch and remaining available down the road to help with basic needs and sometimes even babysitters. In June of this year Karen’s office and KLJ Real Estate became Sotheby’s International Realty. She loves what she does and thanks to her high energy level continues to serve the real estate market in a very personal way.  All of this was accomplished while raising eight children now adding fourteen grandchildren.
